In a way to run EMGLib, you must install a copy of Query_win on your computer. The architectures presently supported are: Sun Solaris, IBM RS/6000, DEC Alpha, Silicon Graphics, HP/UX, Linux PC, MacOS Classic and Windows 95.

EMGLib release 5 contains 174 sequences from 141 complete bacterial and archaeal genomes. These 174 entries total 434,648,385 bases and they contain 404,721 protein genes, 7138 tRNA, 1409 rRNA, 6 snRNA, 8 scRNA and 239 other miscellaneous RNA.
