Aim of the course: The main objectives of the course are to familiarize young scientists (Biologists/Computer Scientists/Mathematicians) with bioinformatics and genome data analysis skills and to encourage multi-disciplinarity by introducing:
advanced fundamental algorithms in bioinformatics;
their application in genome analyses;
and recent knowledge acquired from genomes studies and perspectives.
The course is aimed at motivated Ph.D and Post-doctoral students, as well as young assistant professors and junior scientists in Academic Institutions, with background in Mathematics, Statistics, Biology or Computing, and who are involved in Bioinformatics and Genomes studies.
Duration: Full time from July 5 to July 17, 2010.
