To get the ADE-4 modules from this server, you will need Stuffit Expander (for Macintosh).

To read the text files created by ADE-4 modules and to create or modify the data files in text format, you will need BBEdit Lite (for Macintosh). In Windows 95, you can use NotePad or WordPad.

To read the documentation files that are in pdf format, you will need Acrobat Reader.

To extract the modules from the tar archives obtained by downloading several modules for Macintosh at once, you will need Stuffit Expander.

To decode and decompress the tar archives obtained by downloading several modules for Windows 95 at once, you will need WinZip 95.

To decode and decompress the ADE-4 modules for Windows 95 obtained by e-mail (see the ADEList mailing list), you will need Stuffit Expander for Windows.

The xl_fromto_ade.xls macro, written by Marc Deconchat (deconcha@telesad.toulouse.inra.fr) for Excel 97 / Windows 95 makes easier the exportation of data from an Excel data sheet to ADE-4. This new version can also convert a binary ADE-4 file to Excel text format.


  • For editing ADE-4 graphic files, you can use ClarisDraw. It is available on both Mac : and PC : and it works in the same way on both.
