Softwares available at the site of the Institut
Pasteur concerning RNA
structures
A number of softwares concerning
RNA structures d'ARN are
available at the site of the Institut Pasteur. Some
are directly accessible through the web. Among all these,
the following softwares were installed, or a newer version was
recovered, as a consequence of the seminars that took place on the
18th and 19th of December 1997 :
- ESSA
- Software allowing RNA structure analysis
based on extensive viewing within a friendly
graphical interface (Chetouani et al.)
- FAStRNA [22 Dec 1997] :
- Version : 1
- Predicts potential tRNA genes in genomic DNA sequences (El Mabrouk). FAStRNA-CM
relies on a probabilistic model, FAStRNA-CLASS on a pattern-matching
approach.
- MFOLD [22 Dec 1997] :
- Version : 2.3
- Prediction of RNA secondary structure by energy minimization (Zuker).
- PALINGOL [22 Dec 1997] :
- Nouvelle version : 1.3
- Software for scanning a database with the description of
a structure (Billoud et al.).
- ViennaRNA [22 Dec 1997] :
- Version : 1.2.1
-
Vienna RNA package (Schuster
et al.). Secondary structure prediction and comparaison, inverse
folding, melting temperature and energy calculation.
- RNAlib: library of functions for programmers.
