Meetings 

The following meetings have been organised since Jan. 2009 or will be in the coming months.

Past meetings

Jan. 19-22, 2009: Meeting in Lyon. The participants included Leen Stougie, Alberto Marchetti-Spaccamela, and the following French members: V. Acuña, L. Cottret, V. Lacroix, P. Milreu, M.-F. Sagot, A. Vellozo.

May. 3-6, 2009: Meeting in Amsterdam. The participants included V. Acuña, L. Cottret, F. Jourdan, V. Lacroix, M.-F. Sagot, and the following Dutch members: F. Bruggeman, G. Klau, S. Kelk, J. Klaver, W. Rölling, R. Sitters, L. Stougie.

Sept. 29 to Oct. 3, 2009: Meeting in Lyon. The participants included Leen Stougie, Steven Kelk, Alberto Marchetti-Spaccamela, the following French members: V. Acuña, L. Cottret, V. Lacroix, P. Milreu, M.-F. Sagot, A. Vellozo, as well as two invited researchers, Etienne Birmelé and Pierluigi Crescenzi.

Oct. 26-30, 2009: Workshop Metabolic Pathways Analysis 2009 at the Lorentz Center in Leiden, the Netherlands, organised mostly by the Dutch members of the Associated Team, Leen Stougie, Frank Bruggeman and Brett Olivier, with help also from an external researcher, Stefan Schuster and from Marie-France Sagot. The meeting will have some 45 participants (current list available here), of which approximately a quarter are PhD students and postdocs (6 from the Associated Team), and more than half are international experts on the mathematical modelling and analysis of metabolic networks.

Jan. 23-29, 2010: Meeting in Lyon. The participants included Leen Stougie, Alberto Marchetti-Spaccamela, the following French members: V. Acuña, V. Lacroix, P. Milreu, M.-F. Sagot, A. Vellozo, as well as one invited researcher, Etienne Birmelé.

Apr. 5 to 10, 2010: Meeting in Rome. The participants included Leen Stougie, Alberto Marchetti-Spaccamela, the following French members: V. Acuña, V. Lacroix, P. Milreu, M.-F. Sagot, as well as two invited researchers, Etienne Birmelé and Pierluigi Crescenzi.

June 2010: Meeting in Lyon for the PhD defense of Vicente Acuña. Participants besides the people at Lyon: Pierluigi Crescenzi and an invited researcher, Khaled Elbassioni (who are the two reviewers of Vicente's PhD). Pierluigi Crescenzi stayed for one week, working on the continuation of the WABI'2010 paper (see publications).

July 2010: One-week visit of Pierluigi Crescenzi at Lyon.

July-August 2010: Meeting in Brazil (USP, UFMG, LNCC and UFRJ). Planned participants: Alberto Marchetti-Spaccamela, Leen Stougie, Pierluigi Crescenzi, Ana Teresa Freitas, as well as, from France, Pierre Peterlongo from the INRIA Symbiose project-team, Ludovic Cottret currently post-doc at UMR CNRS 5504 - INRA 792, Vicente Acuña, Paulo Milreu, Cecilia Klein and M.-F. September 15 to 22, 2010: Visit of Pierluigi Crescenzi at Lyon, joined from September 15 to 16 by Etienne Birmelé from the University of Évry, and from September 19 to 22 by Roberto Grossi and Nadia Pisanti from the University of Pisa, Italy.

October 16 to 23, 2010: Meeting at Florence, Italy. Participants: Alberto Marchetti-Spaccamela, Leen Stougie, Pierluigi Crescenzi (host), Roberto Grossi as well as, from France, Vicente Acuña, Paulo Milreu, Cecilia Klein, Etienne Birmelé, and M.-F. Sagot.

October 20, 2010: Day visit to the Department of Computer Science at the University of Pisa, Italy. Participants: Roberto Grossi and Nadia Pisanti (hosts) as well as their students, Alberto Marchetti-Spaccamela, Leen Stougie, Pierluigi Crescenzi, Vicente Acuña, Paulo Milreu, Cecilia Klein, Etienne Birmelé, and M.-F. Sagot. Paulo Milreu gave a talk at the Department on chemical organisations.

January 15 - February 12, 2011: Visit of Pierluigi Crescenzi at Lyon.

January 22 - February 5, 2011: Visit of Andrea Marino, PhD student of Pierluigi Crescenzi, at Lyon.

January 23 to 26, 2011: Meeting at Lyon. Participants: Alberto Marchetti-Spaccamela, Leen Stougie, Pierluigi Crescenzi, as well as, from France (apart from the BAMBOO team), Etienne Birmelé, and Fabien Jourdan.

March 29 to April 2, 2011: Visit of Pierluigi Crescenzi at Lyon, and visit with him and various members of BAMBOO to Fabien Jourdan and Ludovic Cottret at Toulouse.

April 26 to May 29, 2011: Meeting at Lyon. Participants: Alberto Marchetti-Spaccamela, Leen Stougie, Pierluigi Crescenzi, Andrea Marino as well as, from Cambridge University, UK, Pietro Lío. Pietro Lío stayed on until May 2, Pierluigi Crescenzi and Andrea Marino, until May 7.

July 3, 2011: Participation to the Graph algorithms and Applications Workshop at ICALP 2011 of Alberto Marchetti-Spaccamela, Pierluigi Crescenzi, Leen Stougie, Paulo Milreu, Alexandre Freire, and M.-F. Sagot. Presentation of an accepted contribution: Telling stories (see Publications).

July 4 to 8, 2011: Meeting at Amsterdam. Participants: Alberto Marchetti-Spaccamela, Leen Stougie, Andrea Marino as well as, from France, Paulo Milreu, Alexandre Freire, Gustavo Sacomoto, Christian Baudet, Cecília Kleine, Etienne Birmelé, and M.-F. Sagot.

September 10 to 17, 2011: Meeting at Lyon. Participants: Pierluigi Crescenzi, Andrea Marino, Gianluca Rossi from the University of Rome "Tor Vergata", Beatrice Donati future PhD student in co-supervision between P. Crescenzi and M.-F. Sagot as well as, from France, Etienne Birmelé now in "déléacute;gation in the BAMBOO Team.
