Would it be possible at all to compile the
ADE programs and include them as S functions?
I did myself with some C programs in the Unix
version of Splus and was easy. This would have the
advantage of not having to bother with the interface
and of including ADE within a very powerful environment.
An alternative would be doing the same with
XploRe, a sort of S that was born at the
Institut für Statistik und Ökonometrie of the Humboldt University of Berlin
(http://www.xplore-stat.de/).
